JoSAA

JoSAA stands for Joint Seat Allocation Authority. It is an authority set up by the Ministry of Education of India to manage and regulate. The joint seat allocation for admissions to 118 institutes for the academic year 2023-24. These institutes include 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs, and 38. Other Technical Institutes Funded Fully or Partly by Central or State Government (Other-GFTIs).

JoSAA conducts the seat allocation process based on the rank obtained by the candidates in the JEE Main. Tnd JEE Advanced exams. Candidates who qualify for JEE Main. JEE Advanced can register and fill in their choices of institutes and programs on the official website of JoSAA.

JoSAA releases the opening and closing ranks for various institutes and categories after each round of seat allocation. Candidates can check their seat allotment status and download their provisional seat allotment letter from the JoSAA portal. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority also conducts special rounds of seat allocation for vacant seats after the completion of the regular rounds.
