Women and minorities from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and all candidates from Sindh, Balochistan, and the erstwhile federally administered tribal areas (FATA) were eligible to apply for the special CSS exams. There are two application periods allowed for the unique CSS tests. The first stage occurred between December 18, 2022, and January 4, 2023, while the second stage occurred between February 26 and March 14 of this year.

A total of 44,238 applications have been received as of March 8. Coaching will be offered for the required courses and applicants. Those who pass a practice exam with multiple-choice questions will be interviewed from June through August. For each open position, four candidates will be chosen in accordance with their respective quotas.
