The amount of the Golden State Teacher Grant is up to $20,000 for students who meet the eligibility criteria and agree to the service requirement. The grant is disbursed in two equal payments of $10,000. Each, one in the fall term and one in the spring term.

The grant is non-renewable. However, students can apply for it each year they are enrolled in an approved program. The grant does not need to be repaid. If the service obligation is fulfilled, otherwise. A partial or full repayment may be required.
