  • Primary education: 22,321,496
  • Secondary education: 10,733,233
  • Tertiary education: 3,566,571

It is expected that the population of students enrolled in education will continue to increase in the future. But the exact figures for 2023 are not available.

According to the UNESCO Institute for Statistics. The estimated number of students enrolled in primary, secondary, and tertiary education in Pakistan in 2022 were:

  • Primary education: 22,542,289
  • Secondary education: 10,851,352
  • Tertiary education: 3,694,994

Please note that these are estimated figures and may not be exact.

According to the country’s present literacy percentage of 62.3, an estimated 60 million illiterate people are living there. The current administration has made increasing the country’s literacy rate a goal in light of this circumstance. By giving roughly 22.8 million students access to education. And enhancing the educational system for all age groups through the use of contemporary technological tools. Pakistan promises to increase its literacy rate in four years.
