Rhodes Global Scholarships Program

The Rhodes Global Scholarships are two scholarships. These are available each year for eligible candidates from any country. Or a region that is not connected to any other Rhodes Scholarships Constituency. The candidates must have completed an honors bachelor’s degree by October 2023 and have a high academic standing. The age limit for the candidates varies from 18 to 28 depending on the constituency.

The scholarship covers all University and College fees, a living stipend of £15,144 per annum, and one economy class airfare to Oxford at the start and end of the scholarship. The scholarship is for two years in the first instance and may be extended for a third year for. Who take a recognized route to the DPhil (PhD).

The candidates must apply online and submit a curriculum vitae, a personal statement, evidence of academic record, and six references. The application process also requires a nomination from the candidate’s institution. And a confirmation of eligibility from the Rhodes House team. The application deadline for the Global Scholarships is 23:59 GMT, 1 August 2023.

The selection process for the Rhodes Global Scholarships involves multiple stages. Initially, applications are reviewed at a regional level. Shortlisted candidates are invited for interviews. These interviews focus on assessing the candidates’ intellectual prowess, leadership potential, commitment to service, and personal qualities.

The final selection is made by a panel of Rhodes Trustees. Who chooses the most suitable candidates for the scholarships? The selection process is highly competitive and rigorous. Only two scholarships are available each year for eligible candidates from any country. Or a region that is not connected to any other Rhodes Scholarships Constituency.
